Kirsten and I got married, knowing we were headed for the mission field. Nine years later, when our kids were 7, 6, and 4, the call finally came. Soon we were off to Germany, to serve as youth and worship pastors in a young church in southeastern Bavaria.

During our 10 years there, our little family grew up and the church expanded from once campus to four. Kirsten and I juggled our varied and increasing duties, both at home and in ministry, as we also did our best to communicate with partners and cultivate our support base back home.

We finished our stint in Europe in 2018, coming back to the ‘States as our kids were getting ready for their college years. Today, they have all graduated and are serving the Lord in various places - one of them landing back in Europe as a missionary.

Through each season we have seen God’s faithfulness, though not without some bumps and bruises, mistakes made and lessons learned. That experience birthed in us a desire to help today’s crop of missionaries succeed in their calling - on both the personal and professional side. For this reason, we have created Mission Launch.
